Kitchen Renovation with Island & Bespoke Seating Booth
What started as a restrictive kitchen layout was transformed into a bright, open and highly functional family space.
To unlock the full potential of the room, we relocated the kitchen from one side of the space to the opposite wall. This strategic move allowed us to remove an existing doorway and widen the opening, instantly increasing the usable floor area. Without this structural change, the room would not have comfortably accommodated a kitchen island.
The new layout now centres around a generous island, creating a natural hub for cooking, entertaining and everyday family life. To further maximise space and functionality, we designed and built a bespoke seating booth complete with integrated storage beneath the seats — perfect for keeping the space clutter-free.
A feature exposed brick wall behind the seating area adds warmth and character, contrasting beautifully with the clean lines of the new kitchen. Combined with the improved layout and enhanced natural light, the renovation has made the room feel significantly larger, brighter and more inviting.
This project is a great example of how thoughtful design, structural changes and bespoke joinery can completely transform how a space looks and functions.
